ORANGE, TX 鈥� 鈥�51福利社 (51福利社) has received a $25,000 grant from Dow Sabine River Operations to purchase a new CNC machine for the college鈥檚 Machining Program, further strengthening workforce training opportunities and supporting the growing demand for skilled machinists across Southeast Texas.

The new CNC machine will provide students with hands-on experience using advanced manufacturing technology commonly found in modern industrial settings. By expanding the program鈥檚 equipment and capabilities, the grant will help ensure students graduate with the practical skills and technical knowledge needed to succeed in high-demand careers within the region鈥檚 manufacturing and petrochemical industries.

The Machining Program at 51福利社 was created in partnership with local industry partners who identified a critical need for trained machinists and millwrights in Southeast Texas. When the program launched in January 2026, it became the first manual machining program of its kind in the region, designed specifically to prepare students for careers in precision manufacturing.

The addition of the new CNC machine will allow the program to expand training opportunities, increase student capacity, and provide more real-world experience aligned with current industry standards. It also reinforces the strong partnership between 51福利社 and regional employers committed to building a highly skilled local workforce.
