Cosmetology Frequently Asked Questions

Upon completing the 51¸£ÀûÉç Dual Credit Cosmetology Program, students will be prepared to sit for the state licensure exam and work in a salon.
Students will be eligible to sit for the TDLR licensure exam.
High School faculty credentialed by 51¸£ÀûÉç provides course instructors.
The curriculum is provided by 51¸£ÀûÉç and consists of materials located in the Blackboard Learning Management System and hands-on lab activities.
Students attend regularly scheduled classes Monday – Friday.
Classes are held in a face-to-face format at the high school campus.

State law requires that students under the age of 22 who will attend classes on a GC campus must provide documentation of a meningococcal vaccination within the previous 5 years or a conscientious objection waiver. Students will not be enrolled without this documentation.
$89/credit hour + applicable fees
Purchased by student or high school partner.
